Ah, what a day! Monday! Such is a day full of Assasin's Creed! Yes, I have finally started Assassin's Creed 2, started on Friday actually. And, hell, it's awesome! It's like Assassin's Creed 1, but with improvements everywhere! Kinda busy with that, but here's this week's comic. (On time, too!)

I'm no die-hard, Cheif sucking fanboy, but I do enjoy the Halo series, and I feel that the trailer for 434's new Halo 4 is worth some attention. It looks pretty cool.

Wow... well, this was horribly delayed. Here it is though... enjoy. Caleb has joined the writing team, and we're changing the game! The comics are going to rock, but they're quite the work load. I'll be keeping up on schedule with these crazy long comics due to the fact that I missed so many weeks. The new mouse will be put to work!

E3 2011 Summary- We fucking love everything Nintendo's doing. We dislike Kinect, but that Combat Evolved Remake seems neat. Sony didn't have much new.

In my gaming status: I beat Arkham Asylum, and Split Second. I was excited for another Split Second but Black Rock closed, fuck! Oh well... there are plenty of bad-ass racing games!

In gaming news: Assassin's Creed. Ah, good memories. Showed us what the next generation of games would be like. It was a huge deal, and I've got to say, I loved every minute of it. (Except when you fell into water, what kind of assassin can't swim?) And Assassin's Creed sure has come a long way! Assassin's Creed 2 had incredible sales, and Brotherhood was also very popular. Which brings us to Revelations. At first, I didn't care. It had been a while since I donned the hood. But then I saw this- the Assassin's Creed Revelations E3 trailer. And dear God, it's beautiful. If you can, watch it in HD, with full screen. Ubisoft has done a great job with their games lately. Maybe that 'new game every 6 months' quota was so bad after all.

I got in a fight with an illiterate today. Over the Wii (of all things). I thought that what we had to say might be worth reading, so I decided to put it up here.

The wii is "dead" because Nintendo does not want it to "Live". For those of you who don't know, Nintendo is not interested in games, their real goal is to make a super all in one 3D entertainment center wii and wii u and 3ds are just stepping stones from gaming company to 3D media company. While I have played plenty Nintendo published games, I never liked Nintendo as a company, it was Nintendo that started console wars that destroyed SEGA, and NOA's culture is the shittyiest god damn mother fucking thing I have ever seen, it was them whom prevents grate Japanese games came to America, for purpose unknown. Back to 2006 when everyone was shouting "wii wii" I was skeptical about this console's future, it was always revolve around the gimmick controllers, but never had a grate game library, the entire software selection on the wii beside the the lame official release was made of total garbage and inferior ports. For the entire life cycle of the wii, we keep seeing controller and accessory pop out here and there while its game were getting shiityer and shiityer, and soon they will end up in the ewaste deposit of some 3rd world country. Get this: the wii is not only dead but soon will be worthless, because the games are worthless. Its not just the wii that's dead, all those motion control 3D wannabe will end up in the same dumpster, $sony move and micro$oft kinetic were foolish attempts to chase the wii manic in a very dumbass lame way, if they want to beat Nintendo they should keep making games, fixing hardware bugs, and build a developer friendly environment, not inmates what the wii was doing. Keyboard + mouse + PS2 controller + arcade cabinet controller are all you need to play any games, gimmicks such as light gun and motion was proven to be fad and will remain as fad forever.
My counter-argument :

First off, you are a poor speller. Grate? You mean 'great'? Haha...

Secondly, (and I'm not sure if a Nintendo hater will get this) but it's not always about shelling out games. There's nothing wrong with being innovative. I WILL agree, and forever defend, that basic controllers, are the best way to play games, and if they ever go out of style, God help us all. Though, motion, zapper, 3D, and any other thing besides a controller, are just for fun. God, why don't people see that? You said it yourself, they're fads. That's it. They're brief periods of time where a new way to play catches on. They don't threaten traditional controllers, and the games don't suck just because they're motion. The Wii was in a tough spot. They didn't WANT it to be about graphics, or anything besides motion. The Wii is almost a giant gimmick. But why bash it's hardware? Mario Kart Wii was damn fun. Wii Sports is STILL fun. Mad World was bad ass. No More Heros nearly has a cult following. Okami fans got to have some motion fun. It brought some new fun to Mario Party. The Metroid Trilogy was pretty cool, nearly felt like Samus! Brawl reminded me of the good old melee days, and a stage creator? Fuck yeah! And, shit, I'm just barely covering a bit of the highlights!

Motion was never meant to be anything more than a fad. It's just for fun. Just like video games.

We've got a beautiful E3 comic coming up today, which turn out to be one of our best. After that, Caleb shall be joining the writing side! UPDATE: Well, a lot's been going down. And well, it's getting overwhelming.
So, lets take it slow.
E3 is a little over a week away. This enough is scary, it's really crept up on us. I think the main reason why I'm so freaked out is because games are in a weird state. This E3 is really going to turn some heads.

So far, we know that Nintendo is unveiling the specifics on their new console "geared towards hardcore gamers." That statement can be interpreted in many ways, but basically, I see 2 possibilities. Either they mean they're going to make some awesome new Metroid, Zelda, nintendo stuff, OR they're going to go all out with Call of Duty, FPS stuff. But, I doubt it's the ladder. Nintendo just doesn't follow the FPS scene. And... controllers in the screen? The hell? This is just... eating away at my mind.

Valve has stated that they will not be unveiling Half Life 2 Episode 3 at E3 this year. People had gotten high hopes after seeing those Borealis life preservers... I sure did, but nope. It's just because Valve always makes an experience complete. This was a big fat bummer for me... Maybe next year.

Playstation has the NGP and random titles to talk about. They've also got a plan to port the most popular and deserving PSP titles to PS3 in HD Blu ray quality. MGS Peace Walker has been confirmed for this, Along with the 3rd Monster Hunter Portable. Brandon and I are willing to forget that PSN's been down for a month if they bring FFVII Crisis Core to PS3. It'll be cool, and I'm excited, but I'm not satisfied. Maybe they'll spare some details on the new system they're working on?

I have no fucking idea what Microsoft is doing. I mean, I know they'll be showing off Gears 3, but that's just... a given. Maybe they'll just recycle last year's stupid ass circus act.

Both Brandon and I have finished it, and Portal 2 was amazing. A perfect 10 out of 10. Read any review, I'm sure you'll see the same. As long as you're not completely retarded you should love Portal 2. If you've played and finished the game, you may recognize the space obsessed personality core in today's comic. Enjoy!*

*Update: Hey guys! Since Monday, and even before I've seen a slew of mind blowing Portal 2 art, and although there have been some amazing pieces, this art piece depicting the 2 best of friends robots (Atlas, and P-body) has caught my eye. So, I've decided to put up the 3 comics over a 3 day time period. I felt like if I just put 'em all up, well, that'd be it. Bam. Kinda bland. In other news, Sony said that online play, and playstation home will be back up this week, but the PSN store will be restored sometime this month... gee... what a mess. Expect a comic on that sometime soon. (Next week?)

Sony's just been fucking EVERYTHING up lately. It was officially announced that the 'PSP Go' has been discontinued. They didn't sell everything that was shipped, and now I guess they're going to have to bury them at the border of Mexico... Though, I see them now as a collector's item. I mean, Game Boy Lights, Game Boy Pockets, and GBA minis. Weird, old, forgotten alternate versions of handhelds consoles. The PSP Go is now among them. So, I may pick one up, I mean, I don't intend playing it, it's retarded. I already have PSP 3000, so yeah. But if you're considering buying a PSP go for... actually playing. Don't. Just don't...

MORE SONY NEWS- You may have noticed, but new PSP games are now only $30. Ten dollars down from the original forty. This is because of upcoming NGP. Just thought I'd throw that out there. The new character comic special was supposed to be only 2 comics, but then I couldn't help but do 3, and holy hot damn, we're up to 4. So if you could keep your cool, we'll be putting up THREE FUCKING COMICS ON MONDAY.

So, there have been rumomrs about Wii2! Yes, but Wii2 isn't the ideal title to put in your head. Think along the lines of 'New HD Nintendon Console with screens in the controller'. If you just said 'what the fuck' out loud, then you apparently grasp it. I'm not sure how to go about this, but apparently this new system is geared toward 'Hardcore' gamers. What IS a hardcore gamer to Nintendo? Someone who plays Call of Duty all night? Or someone who plays Final Fantasy all night just wanting to level boost a little before going to sleep. I'm not sure, but I hope it the latter. You can read about it on Destructoid, and I'm sure there are even more articles else where.

I started playing Half Life 2, which is needless to say, an amazing game. Dissidia Duodecim is somewhat disappointing. I mean, all the new songs are cool... but the story is lame, and I really was just hoping for more stages. I am debating on whether or not to continue playing.

Aside from that, I recently finished up the Batman comic 'Hush', and I'm damn excited to start playing Arkham Asylum. But Portal 2 comes out this month so it may have to wait. Brandon and I have picked up 3rd Birthday but that's on hold until we have more time....

We've just been putting up the comics once a week on a random day, not only does it make it inconvenient for you, the reader, but it kinda makes it tough on me. Deciding what day to do the comic gets weird, and then we end up with a missed comic. I haven't done a double week in a while... In short: shit gets messed up. So, in April, we'll take care of that. THE NGP/PSP2 WAS ANNOUNCED: Dual analog sticks? A touch screen? Graphics rivaling the PS3? And that's not even the whole of it. I always dreamed of the day in the furture when we'd have flying cars. But the future is here, this is it. I have amazing hopes for the NGP. It's going to have a port of Metal Gear Solid 4. What more need be said? Picked up the psp game 'Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?' last Friday. Best choice I've made all month. It's a really fun, cool, and humerous platformer/action title my the creators of Disgaea. The sequal was recently released, and I had been meaning to buy the first one, so I finally decided now was the time. And, well, I've beated the main story twice, and I finished the secret Asagi story (obtained by collecting all the torn letters after each stage, the tenth letter is a BITCH) thus adding up to completing it 3 times. Working on getting all the secret dolls, and then I may try and play it on hell's finest... but hey, lets take it slow.

Also, Dissidia Duodecim is coming out in March! Yeah! Though, I'm not impressed with only 7 new characters... (not that that matters, they already had my $40 when Tifa was announced as a new addition to the cast) but with all the other new things they added it above over equaling out. Also in March will be the english release of 'The 3rd Birthday'. It's the third game in the Parasite Eve story. It looks amazing... though, I have my doubts that most of you remember Parasite Eve, being that the other 2 games are for the PlayStation... but, hey, if you do, I'm proud of you.

Dead Space 2 is total redemption for EA. Every single shitty sports game they've ever made, and ever will make is forgiven. Dead Space 2 gets a 10 out of 10 from us. Definitaly. Go buy it. Forgive the lack of a comic last week. We've hit a few bumps, but as we all know, the rape train has no brakes.

And with that said, lets move onto the topic at hand. The Tomb Raider series is getting a reboot. Which, is much needed. I've never been a big Tomb Raider fan. On PlayStation I spent my time with the Final Fantasy games, Metal Gear, Spyro, and other shit... But I never got around to playing Tomb Raider, though, I've always known about it. I recently picked up the first and second one, and have started enjoying them. They're fun, but Lara Croft is to... masculine. The new Lara Croft is rather ' hot '. Though, it's all part of design, and the added survival/horror element to the game is something I look forward to. But, hey, I never really liked the orginial Tomb Raider, so if you're upset with my opinion, don't take it to heart.

Super Meat Boy is Difficult

So recently Brandon and I have purchased a couple XBLA games. Among those games are; The Scott Pilgrim game, Braid, and Super Meat Boy. All of them are fun, but Super Meat Boy is something special. I find that the art has a very 'flash' style to it, as do the cut scenes. I like this. The humor is ever flowing, and the game's difficulty is something else. I've never gotten mad at it. I've cussed at it alot, but never really mad. It's kind of like an 'Aw fuck! Almost had it!' kind of cussing. Though, I have had Bradon frequently help me. Each level is challenging, and is just really fun. Basically, it's 800 microsoft points to sit back with a friend, have some laughs, and get into a really individual platformer. The Scott Pilgrim game is cool, but if you weren't a fan of the comics, it may just feel like a silly beat 'em up with nice art. So I'm not really sure for most people, though I find it fun, and really remanicent of classic arcade games. And the fact that the game serves fandom is a bonus for me. I bought Braid because I heard good things about it, and because I just felt like wasting microsoft points, and I haven't played it yet, Super Meat Boy is fun. So I'll get back to you guys on that. Hey! You may have noticed that there was no comic last week, and about that, sorry! But don't stress, we'll make up for that! Eventually! With Christmas and stuff, production was held up. But, on to the point.

We saw Tron. And we fucking loved it. Some of it didn't make sense. We're okay with that. The special effects were too nice for us to give a fuck. It was a master piece, and on top of that, Daft Punk did the music. It was amazing. It was my second favorite film of the year, Scott Pilgrim stays in first. But if you haven't seen it, just drop whatever the fuck you're doing and go see it. AFTER reading this comic of course!

In other news: the new Halo Reach Noble map pack is ok. If you're low on cash, don't worry, you're not missing too much. But on the other hand, if you've got some extra cash to blow, which you probably do, I recommend picking it up. -truely, Damon.

Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker's been out for a while now, and I'm still not done with all the extra content. Brandon (as you may or may not know) recently got another psp, and on black friday picked up Peace Walker for a nice $20. Not bad. But we've been playing co-op, and along with many features, you can.... 'snake in'. Which is where you grab your friend's shoulder and mimic their moves... You know, 75% of all rape starts with a hand on the shoulder...

Kinekt looks fun, sure, but don't be fooled. It's not that great. If you're going to buy any motion control thing this holiday season, let it be the playstation move. Or, don't buy any! Just buy games! Brandon and I don't hate Kinekt, we just think Microsoft is being weird about it. They had a bigger advertising budget for Kinekt that the [xbox] 360. Basically, they're trying harder to sell an accessorie than the actual console. Kinda weird. Personally, I think Wii is best, is terms of motion gaming. But whatever... hopefully, it isn't in the budget for Microsoft to start BRAINWASHING consumers...

Many things are priceless, and sometimes are priceless in the sense you'd never be able to afford it. Sometimes, I wonder how much I'd pay to see the look on some of my fallen enemies faces... but no matter how much money I burn, I'll never receive a picture. It's something you can only imagine.

BUT OTHER THAN THAT, I've been addicted to Team Fortress 2. I love it. It's so fun. I sometimes have to get Brandon to kick me in the balls to see if it's a dream. But no. TF2 is real, and it's one of the funnest games ever. And when I'm not playing that, me and Brandon have been co-op-ing in Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker. It's fun. What's NOT FUN, is ... uh... when Enginiers build level 3 sentrys infront of your base, like, outside, where your dumbass team mates keep dying and refuse to care... not cool.

[As promised, here's a second comic for this week.] Well, Brandon has finally obtained another psp. Thus, he can finally play Final Fantasy Dissidia. And we can finally have totally awesome cataclysmic battles of PURE ACTION. I've been waiting for this day since I finished unlocking everything last December. Haha, about time indeed! Yeah, I also look forward to playing most of the Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker missions on co-op. Expect a good MGS Peace Walker comic sometime soon. Never really got a MGSPW comic up... And so Kingdom Hearts is on hold till he's sick of Dissidia. (It's gonna be awhile...)

Yeah, in other news, I'm 3 pokemon away from completing my national pokedex in pokemon Ruby. Once that's complete, I'll be taking a much needed break from the game. Maybe another year like last time. (Haha.) I'll continue once I have more time and money to waste on other games in which I need to get them all. *INSERT LONG SIGH HERE*

Also, I'm personally excited for Dissidia 012. Though I haven't recently checked out the latest news of the game... last I read Tifa was going to be in it, along with Lightning. And I'm not sure about the American release, but in Japan, if you buy Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, you'll get a code for Kingdom Hearts Cloud as one of Cloud's outfits in Duodecim... so, that's it. So I got Brandon into Kingdom Hearts, and he loved the first one. LOVED IT. But, he finished the first one, and now he's moved on to Chain of Memories... and he was enjoying the nice graphics, boss battles, and wonderful story, AND THEN HE GOT STUCK. So, uh, yeah. So thats about it. In other news: I've been playing Sapphire to complete my pokedex. After you've played Ruby, Sapphire is nothing. Also, I've been playing Kingdom Hearts 358/2, and god dammit i hate that panels system, I mean, equiping each level you gain? Come on!! But I'm much more tolerant of bullshit than Brandon, well, we both have different tolerances of different bullshit. Also, ever since Halo Reach came out, Halo 3's been more fun than ever. Brandon and I have been playing Halo Reach, and so far, here are the people we hate most: people who use armor lock for effective beat downs, and anyone with a shotgun or sword. In other news, I resently picked up Pokemon Soul Silver, and that pokewalker is quite the invention, now, when you have to do non video game related tasks, if you're obsessed like me, you can still level up your wonderful pokemon! Other than that, the game itself is practically a remake of Crystal version, which is cool. Other than that, I'm still trying to get all the pokemon in Ruby, and I'm trying to get 100% completetion in Birth by Sleep to unlock the secret ending. -Damon.

Wow, games are getting expensive. Before you know it, brand new titles will cost as much as consoles, and consoles will cost as much as a lap dance from a hooker made of gold, which I imagine would be insanely expensive. If you have even a drop of creativity, and an imagination, you'll love Scribblenauts. I hardly even play the actual story. For the longest while I just fucked around on the starter screen seeing what can kill what, and testing the limits of my imagination. It was very rarely that my requests were denied, most of the silly things I typed in came to life, for me to have fun fun with. Ever hear of a Cthulhu? Well if you use mind control to make it friendly, you can ride on it's back, as it defends you from gansters and pandas on tricycles. It's really fun, though I feel as though the actually game doesn't spur up much creativiety. It just had me typing in synonyms... but still, it's fun. And I'd like to see a console version, but that'd just be rediculous. Impossible, even. But I even though about the possibility of multiplayer... but I imagine I'd be like playing Halo3 with a bunch of friends, in Forge mode... yeah... But none the less, Scribblenauts is a fun, creative, imaginative game, and I look forward to Super Scribblenauts. Adjectives will take it to the next level...

Yeah, so we're getting a BioShock movie! ( Huuzah! ) It'll be a long wait until the movie is released in 2013, but I think that this movie will be great. I always felt that the game had a movie like design to it, and so, making a movie out of it shouldn't be that hard... right? Well, a guy by the name of Gore Verbinski was going to direct it. He had plans for making a cool, expensive, movie, on ACTUAL sets! Not CGI! But what happened? The studio kept a close eye on his budget, and he didn't like this. Thus, he dropped from the project. If not for that, the movie would have been released this year, but now whats up? Oh, some fucker by the name of Juan Fresnadillo is going to direct it, with CGI of course... sigh. But Mr. Verbinski is still working with them as producer. Yay? Oh, and we won't see it until 2013. Mega Sigh. But it's going to be rated a "hard R"... that sounds cool. The game's creator Kevin Levine, had this to say: "I will say that it's still an active thing, and it is something we are still actively talking about and actively working on. I can't tell you whether -- you know, the movie business is complicated -- I can't tell you whether it's going to happen for sure or it's not going to happen for sure. But it's something we are actively discussing, quite actively, and actively working on."

Yeah... so, why get a black Wii? Because it's BAD ASS. And because with wii motion plus. And wii sports resort. Thats why. And metroid is out. So, yeah. But it does look pretty cool.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep, I picked it up not too long ago. It's great, really worth the wait. It plays just like Kingdom Hearts 1, and the graphics are also similar. Good story too. Whats the catch? First off, the worlds. Kinda short. Also? Load Times. They suck. I highly recommend installing the game, yet, I still feel as though it's quite a wait. Worth it? Yes.

And so, are you as excited for Dead SPace 2 as I am? I'm doubtful of that. Birth by Sleep will be out soon, and until then I'm rusihing to complete 358/2 days. I just started. I was hesitant because it's a DS title. I've been playing Pokemon Ruby version... again... I'll get the new ones later. And after 4 hours of hard labour, I caught Latios. I'm sure there was a better way, but it felt good knowing I caught it without a walkthrough. I'm on a quest to catch 'em all. I swear, I'm gonna do it. Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, blows my fucking mind. It goes beyond anything you've ever seen on psp. It even rivals Crisis Core. It's truely amazing. Go buy it. It's worth all 40 dollars. The trade-in service at Game Stop, is rather weak. If you're a normal person, who got sick of a game you got for christmas, and want to trade it in, bummer you. You'll get practically nothing. Though, if you're a gamer, you probably have alot of old crao you don't want anymore, then, and only then, you'll get what you want. This comic is more of a joke, because I feared I'd get nothing, but I actually traded in that many games, over 25, and I got over 70 dollars. Thus, I pre-ordered Birth by Sleep, which looks amazing. I just the other day picked up Madworld on Wii, which is jolly good fun, and Metal Gear Solid Peace Walker, which is amazing as well. It makes portable ops look like shit. And for later ( once i finish peace walker) i bought that DS kingdom hearts game. I figured I might as well, it was on sale, and I wanna keep in touch for Birth by Sleep.

Love... it's even better than a 64 hit combo.

Darksiders, yes, on 360 and PS3. A great game. It’s the kind of platformer we've all been waiting for, a next gen platformer. It’s great, I've really been enjoying it. It’s very reminiscent of God of War, on a quest for redemption, you are one of the four legendary horsemen, War. You're on a bad ass quite of demon killing and such. Blood, weapons, upgrades, and purchasing new combos and powers. Yeah, and sometimes, I feel as though it’s just raining blood. And that’s because sometimes, in Darksiders, it is.

Truely a good purchase, buy it, and fight the first boss Tiamat, and after that, you won't have any more questions.

Money, money, money... and games.

So, the topic today is money. How much do you have? The answer is not enough. You never have enough. But you make do. And if you do have enough... good for you. But I know the between the new xbox, natal, playstation move, Dead Space 2, Portal 2, Halo Reach, Gears 3, Skyward Sword, Epic Yarn, 3DS, and everything else, you can't have it all. Not right away. Not when you want it the most. Not too long ago I played Mirror's Edge, and I noticed the store price was $20, and later I went to check the price on Super Smash Bros Melee ( my copy seems close to death) and it was $30 fucking dollars. That, my friend, is fucking theft. God of War is below 20, so is shadow of the colossus, and every other last gen game. ESPECIALLY gamecube games. I was suprised when they charged my $16 for metriod prime echoes, but $30 for a gamecube game is just madness. So, I'll wait for the price to go down before grabbing a second copy.

In other news, I have high hopes for that DS game finial fantasy four warriors of light. I have no idea what it's about... but if it sounds like it uses the story of the classics, so it must be good. And its done by the guy who did those DS rehashes. So that looks cool. Also, Okami-den looks cool, and Metal Gear Solid 3 on the 3DS? What the fuck? The ds is for kids... metal gear solid 3 is rated M because of the sadistic gore of war, and sexual content, and why the fuck is it on the 3DS? whatever...

Oh, god E3 was great, wasn't it? New Zelda, kirby, golden eye, kid icarus, new 3d ds (which DOESN'T look gay!!), and god it looks great. Playstation actually had some good things to say too. They had Portal 2, Dead Space 2, and PlayStation Move, which, after lots of research, doesn't look half bad. I'm still not gonna buy it though. I've already got a Wii.

Xbox however.... they make me sad. The games they show cased, were nothing new or cool. All old news. Kinekt... or whatever, it looks awful. Completely scares me. It scares me to think that people today are dumb enough to buy it. But hey, I'm not laying a finger on it for at least a year till its cheaper. Microsoft has dissapointed me there, but the new xbox does look sexy. Very sexy. But its grim days like these we need to sit down with loved ones, and pray that motion doesn't take over. If it does. I swear, I'll just smash all my next gen consoles and play super nes, and PS2... forever.

So recently I tried Marvel vs. Capcom 2 on XBLA and LOVED it. It was wonderful, I truely enjoyed the art, the gameplay, the fighting, how badass it was, and everything. Fast paced and awesome it blew me away. Knowing that it was originaly released on the dreamcast I decided to go on ebay to look over what was there. And guess what I bought? MvC2? No! Capcom vs. SNK! Why you ask? Because not only was it on the dreamcast, but it was only $13, and looked awesome in the one youtube video I looked up. So, once that comes, I'll slap my friends around in that. In other news, Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is on its way to a console near us.... interesting... it doesn't have the same 2D art, but it looks like a cool new addiction to the series and I'm somewhat excited...
